On June 4, 2026, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) welcomed the Delegation from Shandong Port Group (SPG), China, for discussions on potential cooperation in education, scientific research, and maritime human resource development.
The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice President of VMU, along with representatives from relevant faculties and departments of the University, and delegates from SPG.
Overview of the working session
During the meeting, both sides exchanged information on VMU’s training capabilities as well as SPG’ port operations and logistics activities. They also discussed potential areas of cooperation, including study visits to Qingdao Port, support for training equipment, and the organization seminars on green ports, smart ports, and sustainable logistics.
