On August 13th, 2025, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) held a meeting to express its appreciation to Prof. Jongjin Noh of Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU) for his contributions during his time teaching at VMU.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice President, expressed his appreciation to Prof. Noh for sharing valuable expertise and professional experience that have improved students' competencies, practical skills, and intercultural understanding. Additionally, he thanked Ms. Michiko Suematsu, the professor's spouse, for her support and involvement in university events.

Prof. Noh expressed his respect and gratitude for the opportunity to work at VMU, describing it as a valuable experience that deepened his understanding of Vietnam.
The Vice President recognized the unique support of KMOU and reaffirmed the over-20-years collaboration between VMU and KMOU. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc also informed that Prof. Dr. Ryoo Dongkeun - President of KMOU, will visit VMU in October 2025, which will strengthen the traditional partnership between the two universities.
