Vietnam Maritime University achieved the "Best Maritime Institute Award" at the AMET Global Maritime Awards 2026

On 2 July 2026, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) was honored with the "Best Maritime Institute Award" at the AMET Global Maritime Awards 2026, jointly organized by the Dr. J. Ramachandran Maritime Global Foundation and AMET University (India).

The ceremony also recognized several distinguished figures in the global maritime community. Prof. Ryoo Dongkeun, President of Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU), received the Best Mariner Award, while Capt. Alexandros Serpanos, Human Resources Director of Dynacom Tankers Management Ltd., was presented with the Founder Chancellor's Special Award in recognition of the contributions to maritime education and workforce development.
