In the morning of April 13th, The Vietnam - Lao Friendship Association, in cooperation with Hai Phong University and Vietnam Maritime University to organize a meeting and friendly exchange with Laotian and Cambodian students on the occasion of traditional new year holidays: Bunpimay and Chol Chnam Thmay 2014, for those who are currently studying in the city.
On the occasion of traditional new year holidays Bunpimay and Chol Chnam Thmay 2014 of Laotian and Cambodian ethnic people, the City leadership and representatives from Departments, Offices and Groups, have sent their congratulations on the new year to the Laotian and Cambodian people, specifically the Laotian and Cambodian students studying in the city.
In the ceremony, the Laotian and Cambodian students had the chance to enjoy a warm, meaningful and happy new year's eve, with the presence of traditional rites of Bunpimay and Chol Chnam Thmay like: Lam Saravane and great performances by Vietnam Maritime University and Hai Phong University, friendly soccer match between students from all 3 countries. Through the culture and sport activities, the students were able to gain further understanding and share the rich culture of each country, while at the same time, contribute to strengthen the bonds and friendships between the people, the young generation of the three countries. Also, the Vietnam - Lao Friendship Association of Hai Phong has awarded 21 presents to Laotian and Cambodian students.
